Description
HO layout approx 13' x 22', was originally
constructed in late 40's to early 60's. Much has been added and
updated. Lots of scratchbuilt structures and bridges, turnouts and hand
laid individual tie trackwork. New section is Oconomowoc theme in
1940-50's.
Schedule
Museum is open year around except Dec to
March. During open period, the museum is open Friday, Saturday and
Sunday from 1:00-5:00 PM.

Milwaukee Road and Chicago & North
Western rails are modeled. Most equipment reflect usage from mid 40's
to early 60's. Now adding steam as the budget allows.

While in Oconomowoc, visit the Depot
Restaurant located in the former Milwaukee Road Depot. This is a
beautiful field stone building, now 100 years old, that has been
beautifully preserved and has a railroad theme throughout. Informal
dress, open breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Location/Directions
Oconomowoc is a city of 11,000 located mid
way between Madison and Milwaukee, but closer to Milwaukee. Just north
of I-94, exit on Wisconsin Hy 67, follow signs, located around town, to
museum.
Additional Comments
The museum features numerous exhibits
detailing the history of Lake Country area of SE Wis. Located in former
historical National Guard armory.
