We are a middle school group that sets up a seasonal display (SMS Express) in the library each year, between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Any of the schools 1,200 pupils are welcome to help. Different students operate the layout daily during homeroom.
Both HO and Lionel trains are set up during this time. The suspended G scale in the media center operates throughout the year. Our group membership changes yearly with the school population. Sometimes members bring items from home to add to the layout, since we have a very basic inventory of items. Also, interest and ability fluctuate from year to year.
