Our club began in 1938 and has always been
located in the same building. In 1994, we purchased the 1910 passenger
depot from our host railroad, to save the building from destruction. In
2000, we became a 501(c)(3) organization, to help in acquiring funds
for the maintenance and restoration of the depot.
In the past, we have sponsored a national
NMRA convention, three O-Scale National conventions and participated in
scores of local train shows. Many of our past members have served as
officers in the NMRA and in its Mid-Continent Region and others have
won various awards for their models.
We operate our trains for the public on
the first Tuesday evening of every month, with extra operating nights
