The Newton Junction Model Railroad is approx. 25' by 40' with over 200' of double track main line. Key features include an operational thru yard over 20' long, two engine facilities, and a branchline logging area featuring extensive hand-laid track. The layout is set up for dispatcher operation froma panel in a separate office. Two staging yards keep the mailines busy simulating railroading on a division of a major New England railroad.
We have no formal programs for beginners; however, beginners work on projects with more experienced members.
