The Club has modular layouts in N, HO, O (3 rail), and G Scale and has
special interest groups in live steam, collectibles, photography, and
prototype operations.

Founded in 1972, the Bluegrass Railroad
Club endeavors to enjoy all the aspects of railroading that include
participating in prototype, collecting, and modeling. Our monthly
meetings on the second Friday of each month have been host to a wide
range of railroad topics, speakers, and videos. As an Ambassador of the
World’s Greatest Hobby; each year starting on the Friday before
Thanksgiving and every night through December 23, the club has the
privilege of operating Lionel, HO, N, Z, and Garden modular railroads
at the Kentucky Horse Park as part of Southern Lights. In the 2,800
square feet at the International Museum of The Horse, our modular
railroads are now a Christmas tradition in Central Kentucky.
Visits to see the prototype, outings with
a live steam group, and rotating visits to various member layouts are
but a few of the activities that are bringing railroads to life with
the Bluegrass Railroad Club.
