Description
The Delaware & Chesapeake Garden Railroad is a rural backyard rock garden that broke ground in 2003 and contains a variety of annual and perennial landscaping material grown locally. The tracks are built on a stonedust ballast, while locomotive power is operated through a battery, remote control system. This year a freight yard and loop has been added to enhance the 40 x 30 foot area. The Delaware & Chesapeake also features a fishpond fed by a waterfall that flows down a stone riverbed.
