The goal is monthly but since we are rural it depends on farming schedule, etc - winter months have our most regular scheduling.

We have concentrated on modular layouts at various charitable events (Shriner's Ameila Steam and Tractor Show for Children's Hospital) but are becoming more formalized and will be including new sponsors like the County Library, a Teenage group from the local schools and chuurchces, and local business. Our goal is to have at least 4 home layouts, a permanent club layout (we have a commitment for space) and more widespread modular participation. Since this is a rural group any formal structure and dues haven't been a problem. Simple is better and having fun with model RR is our biggest emphasis! In the past we have also supported layouts at a local college museum at Christmas and a large train show at the Science Museum in Richmond, Va. The next scheduled event is the Amelia Steam and Tractor Show on Oct and then a layout and display at the library for Model RR Month in November.
